We hold ourselves and each other accountable for demonstrating the Leadership Principles through our actions every day. Our Leadership Principles describe how Legient does business, how our leaders lead, and how we keep the client at the center of our decisions. Our unique culture, described by these Leadership Principles, helps us relentlessly pursue our mission.

Taking Ownership

Our leaders take extreme ownership of the results of their team and project. They act for the benefit of the client above those for the firm. They admit mistakes and take actions to ensure the same mistakes are avoided in the future. They never say “that’s not my job.”

Relentless Drive

Our leaders never give up. They never shy away from a challenge. They seek solutions to even the most difficult problems. They have strong judgment and good instincts. Constraints breed resourcefulness, self-sufficiency and invention.

Relationships

Our leaders start with the client and work backwards. They work vigorously to earn and keep their trust. They never put the deal before the relationship. The client is our why.

Humility

Our leaders are confident but humble. They seek diverse perspectives and always challenge their own held beliefs. Leaders are never done learning and always seek to improve themselves. They are curious about new possibilities and act to explore them. Leaders keep their egos in check and respect everyone from interns to the CEO in companies of all sizes.

Our leaders seek to deliver value with every interaction at every level of the client’s organization.

Hire and Develop the Best

Our leaders raise the performance bar with every hire and promotion. They recognize exceptional talent, and willingly move them throughout the organization. Leaders develop leaders and take seriously their role in coaching others.

Our leaders have unyielding high standards—many people may think these standards are unreasonably high. They continue to raise the bar and drive their teams to deliver high-quality service.

Speed matters and our leaders exercise a bias toward action. Many decisions are reversible and do not require extensive study. We value calculated risk taking.

Our leaders listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others with respect. They are self-critical, even when doing so is awkward or embarrassing. There are no bad teams, only bad leaders.

Our leaders create opportunities for less experienced personnel to grow in their development. They encourage, coach and develop tomorrow’s leaders.
